So I started Tuesday Tells & Tattles with the dream of it becoming ‘viral’ HA! That hasn’t happened and it’s okay. Tuesday Tells & Tattles may end up turning into a fancy segment for my work-in-progress podcast. My “forever working on it” project. Another HA but I digress. Every Tuesday I post a quote that speaks to me whether it be funny, serious, business-related, motivating or just plain intriguing. During these unprecedented times, sometimes we need a laugh, cry, to learn, and/or get through. Quotes can help! These quotes range from my own rants, raves, and sayings to celebrities, pioneers, or they simply remain anonymous.
Since April 2019, I have done a quote every single week – it’s a lot! I thought I would do a deeper dive into groups of 6 just in case you missed them. Of course I always have to add a little fun and flair too! Check out my first two rounds below. Enjoy and please share!
Unknown #13 Appreciation
Seriously, this is a no-brainer! Isn’t it obvious those who feel appreciated get more done than expected? Appreciation goes a long way. Now, taking advantage is another story. Be appreciative my friends-it helps ones mental state!
Gilbert K. Chesterton #14 Granted or Gratitude
Taking things for granted or taking them with gratitude? What do you think the majority of the world does? It has been a rough 6+ weeks thanks to the pandemic. Hopefully, this quote helps put things into perspective.
Ansel Adams #15 Monday
Why do we always wait for a new year to have goals, resolutions, aspirations, etc? We all can make a plan/change/goal each week! Look at Mondays as a ‘reset’ day!
Seth Godin #16 Leadership
The right leadership makes a difference in employee engagement, retention, and success. Allow your employees to generate ideas and work with others to create great projects/processes, etc!
Owen Feltham #17 3 Business Things
Knowledge and time are spot on! However, I immediately reacted to temper as negative. In essence, temper (as a verb) means “act as a neutralizing or counterbalancing force to (something).” Now that makes sense!
Meg Whitman #18 Inaction & Mistakes
I don’t think others realize this until something happens or it’s too late! The longer one takes to react (if they react at all), the time wasted can become very costly. This goes for not disciplining, not listening, not reacting to situations, etc.
In the past couple of months, life has changed as we know it. Life is suspended indefinitely and mental health is of concern for many. Quotes have been known to make us laugh, generate conversation, learn and get through trying times.

Every single quote here is amazing but my favorite is the gem from Ansel Adams, “You don’t need a new year to make a change… all you need is a Monday.” Perfect.
I love motivating quotes. This is a great collection – especially the one by Meg Whitman!
I really like the quote about someone who is appreciated going above and beyond. I see that all the time with students. If a teacher makes the time to develop a positive relationship with a student, he or she will work harder in class. Everyone likes to know they are wanted and appreciated.
I completely agree with the appreciation quote it really does go a long way. Especially if the person already loves what they do, and then you show admiration for their work.
Phrases are always the best way for me to be inspired and be inspired.
“You don’t need a new year to make a change… All you need is a monday” I love that one, I would even go further to say … All you need is a new day! I’ve learned that a lot can happen in 24 hours.
True! Every time we wake up – its a new opportunity!
Number 15 is my favorite! I love the fresh starts of Mondays. It’s great to think of Monday as a reset day to start a new week with a clean slate. I love inspirational excerpts, they’re so helpful and they remind you to stay positive and hopeful. We can use all the inspiration we can get these days. Thank you so much for sharing!
